The Porsche Manthey-Racing program is a specialized tuning and performance enhancement division that refines Porsche road and race cars for peak performance. Manthey-Racing, an affiliate of Porsche Motorsport, is renowned for its dominance on racetracks, including multiple victories at the Nürburgring 24 Hours. The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport Leichtbau is a trackday enthusiast’s dream, offering an unfiltered driving experience focusing on extreme lightweight construction. Developed by Manthey, this special edition race car sheds 31 kilograms compared to the standard model, bringing its total weight down to 1,289 kg. Powered by a naturally aspirated six-cylinder boxer engine producing 500 hp, this lightweight beast achieves an exceptional power-to-weight ratio of 2.6 kg per hp. The weight reduction is achieved through extensive use of carbon fiber for key components, including the front and rear bumpers, fenders, bonnet, and doors, complemented by a BBS lightweight wheelset. Enhanced brake cooling and an optimized radiator vent further improve track performance. The GT4 RS Clubsport Leichtbau is produced in limited numbers and is available in three distinctive designs.

Porsche has incorporated sustainable natural-fiber composite materials for select body components, including the doors and rear wing. These eco-friendly materials, derived from flax and hemp fibers, offer carbon fiber-like strength with a reduced environmental impact.
