1964 Porsche 356 SC

Incredibly clean, numbers matching 1964 Porsche 356 SC in original Sky Blue over Black Vinyl interior. This rare 356 SC first came to us in late 2017 by a local Porsche enthusiast collector that acquired the car from a shop in California that had recently refinished the car in its original Sky Blue and replaced the interior with black vinyl. The 6V electrical system was also converted to 12V during the restoration process in California. Shortly after bringing the car to Colorado from California the 356 was inspected by very well-known 356 experts including PCA Concours Judge, Tom Scott and 356RESTORE, Jim Kellogg which gave the car very positive reviews. After the extensive inspections performed by Tom and Jim the 356 was sent to John Eisenbud, another 356 specialists in Denver, CO, to have the engine and carburetors tuned properly for Colorado driving, since that time the 356 has been driven fewer than 2,000 miles.

During previous ownership a clear mask was installed on the full hood, fenders, and front bumper to help protect the paint from elements of driving on the road. During clear mask installation a small area of paint on the hood lifted from the metal surface resulting in a small bubble below the clear mask that can be seen at close inspection.

Most recently the 356 was being stored in a local private collection after being used for a Downtown Napa Main Street Reunion event. After coming out of storage our Factory Trained Porsche Classic Technicians performed our comprehensive pre-owned inspection to ensure the 356 is ready for the next owner. During the inspection process we performed a cleaning and jetting of the carburetors, performed ignition timing checks and adjustments, installed new spark plugs, changed engine oil and filter, performed valve lash check and adjustment, and performed a Porsche Classic Technical Certificate inspection.

Previous ownership service documents were lost during an ownership change several years ago. The car comes with service documentation of services performed by Porsche Colorado Springs, tool kit, jack, and spare wheel and tire.
