In 1974, the Porsche 911 Turbo (Type 930) made waves by bringing turbocharging technology from the racetrack to the streets. The 50th Anniversary Edition, based on the current 2025 911 Turbo S (992.1), pays homage to that game-changing moment. Limited to just 1,974 units worldwide, this model offers exclusivity while celebrating the year of its debut.  

Styled with careful attention to the original Turbo model, the 911 Turbo 50 Years features decals inspired by the Porsche 911 RSR Turbo, which debuted at the 1973 IAA. Adding to its allure is the introduction of Turbonite, an exclusive color for this model. The Turbonite accents on the rear decklid, Porsche crest, and fuel cap elevate the car’s already stunning appearance. Anthracite Grey details, such as the rear wing and lower fascia, complement these, evoking memories of the original Turbo design. A special badge on the rear grille and LED lighting that projects a turbocharger icon onto the ground further emphasize its distinct heritage.  

A 1970s-Inspired Interior with Modern Touches  

Stepping inside the 911 Turbo 50 Years is like stepping into a time capsule that seamlessly blends past and present. Inspired by the 1970s zeitgeist, the interior offers an exclusive homage to earlier Turbo models. The MacKenzie tartan upholstery on the seat centers and door panels recalls the classic designs of Porsche’s golden era. Turbonite accents throughout the cabin, including seat belts and contrast stitching, add to the car’s overall uniqueness.  

The car also features luxurious Adaptive Sport Seats Plus, with “turbo 50” stitching in the headrests and brushed aluminum door sill guards illuminated with the same designation. Every interior detail reflects a nod to the past and Porsche’s commitment to innovation. Above the glove compartment, an anniversary plaque engraved with the model’s limited number reminds you that you have something extraordinary.  

Unparalleled Performance  

At its core, the 911 Turbo 50 Years retains the remarkable performance capabilities of the 2025 911 Turbo S. Powered by a 3.7-liter twin-turbo boxer engine, the car delivers an exhilarating 640 horsepower and 590 lb.-ft. of torque. This impressive output, combined with a curb weight of 3,649 lbs., results in a stunning power-to-weight ratio of 5.7 lbs. per horsepower. Acceleration is breathtaking, with the ability to go from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds.  

Standard features include Porsche Traction Management (PTM), active all-wheel drive, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus), and an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission (PDK). The car also comes equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and a sports suspension system that lowers the ride height by 10mm for an even sportier feel. Additional features, such as tinted LED Matrix design headlights, a front-axle lift system, and black brake calipers, come standard in this exclusive edition.  

Enhanced Design with the Heritage Package  

The optional Heritage Design Package offers exclusive design features for those who want even more of the Porsche brand’s illustrious history in their anniversary model. Aventurine Green Metallic serves as the base color, while a white silk matte decal set with customizable elements like a lollipop number between 0 and 99 enhances its exclusivity. Classic touches, such as the historic Porsche crest from 1964 on the hood, wheel center caps, and gold model designations at the rear, bring a vintage flair to a modern powerhouse. Inside, the tartan theme extends to the dashboard trim, glove compartment, and seat backs, while green instrument dials and a Porsche Design clock complete the retro aesthetic.  

A Timepiece to Match  

No anniversary edition would be complete without a commemorative accessory. Porsche Design has crafted a limited-edition timepiece that mirrors the aesthetics and innovation of the 911 Turbo 50 Years. The timepiece features a Turbonite-accented black face, a leather strap made from the same material used in the car, and a titanium case with a transparent back that showcases the winding rotor styled after the 911 Turbo 50 Years wheels. This exclusive watch is limited to 1,974 units, each numbered to match its corresponding car.
