2021 Taycan Updates Technology
For 2021 the Taycan will offer a color head-up display as an available add-on option. This system puts relevant driving information in the driver’s field of vision to help them keep their eyes on the road ahead. The head-up display projects the vehicle’s power meter, a navigation display, incoming calls, and more.
Another new addition to the Porsche Taycan for 2021 is an onboard 22-kW AC charger. With this charger in place, the vehicle’s battery is able to charge in half the time it takes to charge with the standard 11-kW charger.
Functions on Demand Offers After-Purchase Upgrades to Taycan
With Functions on Demand, Taycan drivers are able to add on different driver-assistance and convenience features as they wish by completing a one-time purchase or opting for a subscription. Functions on Demand allows drivers to continuously update their vehicle as they wish, bringing in available options such as Power Steering Plus, Porsche InnoDrive, Active Lane Keep Assist, and more. Drivers who choose the monthly subscription option are able to take advantage of a three-month trial period.
2021 Taycan Plug & Charge
The new Plug & Charge system simplifies the way drivers charge their vehicles. With this system in place, drivers can simply plug their vehicle into a Plug & Charge station and charging begins – all without any physical payment entry required. Plug & Charge stations securely identify the connected vehicle and are able to automatically process pre-set payments.
